Supporting health programmes has become an integral part of our service, and programmes such as Living Life to the Full, Mood Matters, Mental Health First Aid are delivered in partnership with Aware Defeat Depression and the Northern Trust.  These course are delivered at different times throughout the year.  If you are interested please leave your contact details and we will let you know when the next course is coming up.  You can also check out on our news items where we will have the latest information available on what is on.

Community Focus Learning have seen the integration of Arts programmes in many of our courses, building up self-esteem and confidence through drama, singing and crafts.   Support from the Arts Council, OFMDFM and others has helped to fund projects aimed at reducing isolation and loneliness among older people by providing opportunities for social interaction via a range of activities from drama to crafts to story writing and storytelling, working and linking with other arts providers increasing the access to events and building up  social networks.

Over the last number of years Community Focus Learning have been involved in a range of community programmes supporting health and particularly mental health.  Sourcing funding from a range of funders for e.g. The Lottery, Lloyds TSB, and Community Foundation etc. enabled the delivery of programmes that people want.  Leisure classes for older people, an adult writers groups, a camera club and a drama club have all evolved and are now well established in the local community.

Sourcing funding to enable the wider community to access learning opportunities is still very much core to what we do;  Improving and impacting on good health outcomes

Accredited Training is available on a range of courses ensuring that the programmes delivered are reaching the quality standards set out by each awarding body.  Annual audits confirm our compliance and confirm quality assurance on an annual basis.
